As explained above, fitting a new light although not terribly difficult, can involve work that not every DIY person may be capable of.

This kit comes complete with a high quality fully waterproof LED light unit which has a multitude of color that are controlled with the hand held remote.

There is a 12 volt transformer to convert the house voltage from 115 ac volts down to 12 Volts dc to provide power to the controls and the light.
​
You have to attach the new cables to the existing cable in the pool electrical conduit that feeds your existing light as the old cable will only be 3 core whereas these LEDs require 5 core this sometimes is an easy task and sometimes not.
​
So the work involves mechanical and electrical work and you are most likely going to be working in water.
